Hello

I'm Mo, a native Texan and lifelong bookslinger with a Master’s in Library Science from the University of Maryland. With over 20 years of experience, I specialize in designing and curating library collections—from large university libraries to intimate public spaces.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of creating highly specialized collections as well as broad-ranging libraries that cater to diverse audiences. I’ve also been entrusted with managing multi-million dollar budgets, working across both public and private sectors. For all of my projects, I set the highest standard for excellence.

My passion for books extends beyond my professional expertise. I enjoy seeking out rare literary treasures to enrich each project. I pride myself on truly listening to my clients, and ensuring that every library I create is both meaningful and tailored to their vision.

About Mockingbird Collections

Mockingbird Collections is built on a foundation of family, legacy, and a deep appreciation for literature. In the mid-1990s, my mother, Louise Nichols, opened Yesterday's Books in Galveston, Texas. Known for its rare and eclectic collection, the store quickly became a local favorite, offering a curated selection that seemed to find the perfect match for every visitor.

A fan of To Kill a Mockingbird, Louise’s most cherished possession was a signed first edition of the book by Harper Lee—a symbol of her dedication to discovering the extraordinary. Though Yesterday's Books has since closed, the essence of that experience continues through Mockingbird Collections.

At Mockingbird Collections, I strive to recreate that magic by curating libraries that offer not just books, but a deeply personal, immersive experience. Each collection is a space designed for discovery, where literature becomes a meaningful part of everyday life.
